Luxury accessories for the discerning dog

Pressbox (Press Release) -
Patch and Scott was created by design partners Heike Brandt and Darren Scott after many failed attempts to buy stylish but functional accessories for the their dog (who assisted considerably in the testing of all their products). The inspiration for the name came from Darren's enthusiastic child hood pet mongrel 'Patch'.
The team felt that ’most dog accessories on the market don't have the same level of care and attention to detail as the designer bags and shoes we buy, even though we use them every day‘ and that there is a need for dog beds and larger accessories that look stylish in contemporary interior spaces'.
‘Our aim was to create a collection of modern classic and iconic pieces. The first range includes leather collars, leads, quilted faux suede blankets, cushions and leather beds in a range of stylish colours. Every product has been designed with style, functionality and comfort in mind and all of our accessories are handmade in Europe to exacting standards of craftsmanship.’
The first Patch and Scott collection was launched in July 2005 at the Cartier International Polo at Windsor Great Park. The online shop began trading the same weekend.
The image ‘Sniff’ by well-known Californian photographer Sharon Beals appears on swing tags and on the home page of the website. Beals‘ books ‘What puppies do’ and ‘What dogs do’ will soon be available through the Patch and Scott online shop.
The founders both come from Retail design and Branding backgrounds and have worked on a number of high profile design projects, for clients including British Airways, Waitrose, Boss Guns, Hunter Wellingtons and Dunhill.
Patch and Scott will soon introduce new items to the collection, including leather dog coats and wenge and silver feeding bowls.
The Patch and Scott Capri Collar is featured in the November edition of Elle Decoration
