Pressbox (Press Release) - When Val and Eric Morgan decided they wanted to move closer to their daughter, they initially thought about mobile home options such as a caravan for their retirement years, until their daughter spotted the Western Log Group website and suggested they explore the option of a log home.

After viewing another log home built by WLG, the couple has never looked back. They commissioned Western Log Group to build a 44ft x 23ft cabin in the grounds of their daughter's house in Dummer, Basingstoke. The transportable log home includes two double bedrooms, one en suite and one family bathroom, fitted kitchen and mod cons. As one of the first permanently anchored homes built by WLG everything was custom-built, and with no quibble by the developers.

Val Morgan says; “Western Log Group were wonderful, nothing was too much trouble for them. The team was so helpful. For instance, we asked them to change an installed fitted window for French windows and they did it straight away.” During the construction time the team had extremely adverse weather conditions to deal with, but our cabin was still ready within three months. Our new home is perfect, surrounded by fields within a beautiful countryside environment! Everyone who visits is impressed by what they see.”
