Kia Shuma II - Well-equipped

Added: (Thu Feb 15 2007)

Kia's Shuma II is durable and comes with plenty of equipment as well as a good driving position, a reviewer has stated. The model has supportive front seats and controls which are laid out well with wiper and indicator stalks reversed, according to Parkers.

While the car is spacious, the rear seats are not as comfortable as they could be and road noise can be excessive, making for quite a harsh ride. Boot space is good and the model has passenger and driver airbags, remote central locking, seatbelt pre-tensioners, an immobiliser and anti-lock brakes.<./p>

It also boasts electric mirrors, front and rear windows, while higher spec versions add features such as air conditioning, leather upholstery and a CD player. The 1.6-litre engine is described as being eager and speedy, while the 1.8-litre does not perform as well, being less refined, the reviewer states.

Visibility is good but the model creates a fair amount of noise and bodyroll can become a problem. The Kia Shuma II is available from £9,038 in motor insurance groups seven to nine.

Drivers could save up to 39.7 per cent on their motor insurance with Kwik-Fit Insurance, according to research conducted in 2006.
