Added: (Wed Oct 21 2009)

Newbury, UK, 19th October 2009. BBC South Today reporter Allen Sinclair interviewed Jokers' Masquerade's Director of Operations, Rob Hamilton-Day, on the Royal Mail strike commencing on Thursday 23rd October. With a series of national strikes looming, South Today were keen to interview this local business to find out how they would be affected.

Being the UK's largest online retailer of fancy dress costumes and with over 40% of Jokers' Masquerade annual business taking place over the next two weeks ahead of Halloween, Jokers' Masquerade looked sure to be affected but, taking South Today on a tour of the warehouse, Rob Hamilton-Day explained the contingency plan now in place.

In summary, Jokers' Masquerade have suspended all services with Royal Mail and have moved their courier service to City Link to ensure customers get their costumes in time for Halloween. The good news is that this service will be at no extra cost to Jokers' Masquerade customers.

South Today's lunch-time feature of Jokers' Masquerade was extended into the lead story on their 6.30pm news that evening.

Jokers' Masquerade has the largest online collection of adult fancy dress costumes and Halloween costumes in the UK today. There are over 10,000 costumes and accessories to choose from for any fancy dress theme or event, many UK exclusive lines, all in stock from their 40,000sqft Newbury office and warehouse. www.joke.co.uk
