Gordon’s Fine Wines & Liquors Hosts Holiday Cookie Competition to Benefit Toys for Tots
When it’s cold outside there’s nothing better than a warm oven baking a batch of your favorite seasonal treats. Unless of course, you’re sipping delicious seasonally-inspired cocktails, enjoying yummy cookies and listening to holiday music, all while giving back to charity!
On December 18th, 2010 from 2:00PM-4:00PM, Gordon’s Fine Wines & Liquors is mixing all of your favorite holiday pastimes into one at their first annual Cookies and Cocktails Competition, an afternoon of complimentary cookies, cocktails and holiday cheer!
Guests are encouraged to bring three dozen of their favorite holiday cookies for the afternoon bake-off, as well as a monetary or unwrapped toy donation to support Toys for Tots, a U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Program that provides toys for less fortunate families during the holiday season. Each contestant will set up their homemade cookies in the culinary center, while others taste and judge their creations. Gordon’s will be awarding prizes to the top-three winners; so break out the cookie cutters and sprinkles, and show off your baking skills!
As you sample everyone’s favorite cookie recipes and give back to the community, get in the spirit with festive music and cocktails. Chris Rose of Pernod Ricard will be mixin’, shakin’ and sharing some of his favorite holiday concoctions, featuring Kahlua, Malibu and Jameson. * Please note that while the event is complimentary, guests are asked to provide a monetary or toy donation.
WHEN: Saturday, December 18th, 2010 from 2:00PM-4:00PM
WHERE: Gordon’s Fine Wine & Liquors Culinary Center| 894 Main St, Waltham
RSVP: Event is complimentary with a monetary or toy donation for Toys for Tots
