Highlighting that women’s shoes can be comfortable and look stylish too, a hat commissioned by the UK’s biggest shoe maker Hotter Comfort Concept has been taking centre stage at today’s Ladies Day at Royal Ascot.
The hat was fitted with a bubble machine to represent the millions of tiny air bubbles found in the soles of the 1.6 million pairs of shoes made in the company’s Lancashire factory each year. Hotter’s Online Campaigns Manager Sophie Gane wore the Hotter Shoes hat with an outfit completed by a pair of ultra comfy Hotter heels.
“As the champions of comfy shoes we're keen to prove you can go anywhere in Hotter Shoes,” said Design Director Paul Sayers. “Women know the importance of looking good, and on a special occasion the shoes that they choose can make or break their day - which is why our clever team of lady designers ensures that they include secret comfort ingredients in every pair we design and make. And where better to highlight our amazing shoe designs than that quintessentially English event Royal Ascot – where anyone wearing Hotter shoes will be smiling from starters orders until last past the post!”
The hat is made from shoes manufactured at the Hotter factory in Skelmersdale and includes whole women’s shoes, half women’s shoes, comfortable insoles, buckles and leather straps. The company commissioned up and coming Merseyside milliner Hayley Marsden to create the stunning hat to catch the eye of the Ascot crowds. The Hotter hat combines all the best comfy elements of their British made footwear - including sumptuous leather and nubucks, soft padding and millions of lightweight air bubbles!
Hayley jumped at the chance to work with the North West based manufacturer and said: “It’s a fantastic project to be involved in.”
