Handbags can be considered one of the necessities of a woman's life. Where else can we stash all our goodies like lipstick, tissues, gum, candy, a mirror and comb for that quick tidy up, a couple of bandaids in case we get blisters and of course, our credit and store cards. We may even have money to put in them.
These days of course, they also need to take our mobile phone and iPod and that is reflected in the newer designs with all those handy little pockets. In fact some handbags have so many pockets that things tend to get lost because you think you've searched through them all. But one on the side or underneath has been missed.
Some women like to have a huge handbag that they can fit a clean nappy and the baby's bottle in, as well as the odd item of grocery. Others prefer a smaller bag so they cannot fit too much in; then it won't get too heavy. Again, some like to have a shoulder strap on their handbag, so they can remain hands free. But those unfortunates with sloping shoulders find that the shoulder strap slips off, so they are stuck with a shorter strap model. At least they can swing it from their arm - just like the queen does.
