Pressbox (Press Release) -
With over 5000 weddings in Kent each year and the average costing £17,000 it's no surprise that Wedding Planners are increasing in demand. According to a survey by You and Your Wedding, 26% of couples are now seeking the help of a Wedding Planner.
"With so much to plan and such busy lifestyles, it is no surprise that more and more couples are seeking the help of a professional when planning their wedding. They often do not have the time to research suppliers and their testimonials and are relieved to pass the hard work to someone else. Throughout our lives we seek the help of professionals, so why should a wedding be any different? Contrary to belief, Wedding Planners are not hired to "take over" but merely assist the bride in making decisions and doing all the legwork." Says Simone Butterfield of Dimples Events.
Simone Butterfield launched Dimples Events in October after researching the wedding industry for 2 years. With a background in Customer Service, Simone is accustomed to working with a wide range of personalities and management techniques. Simone aims to build relationships with her clients, enabling her to provide inspiration for wedding themes that leave her clients tingling with excitement.
Simone is serious about this career and as such didn't rush into launching, she undertook a training course led by the UK Alliance of Wedding Planners, an organisation whose aim is to regulate the industry and provide clients with confidence when hiring a Wedding Planner. The UKAWP were so impressed with Simone's understanding and subsequent launch that she has been accepted as an Associate Member.
"Simone Attended a training course taught by myself in April 2006. I was incredibly pleased at her understanding of the industry as a result of her initial research. I have no doubt that Simone will bring a lot of dedication to her future clients and as such I wish her all the best."
Bernadette Chapman, Training Director UK Alliance of Wedding Planners.
All too often people wish to set up as a Wedding Planner - yet they have little experience within the industry and none of the necessary insurance policies. Clients can hire a Wedding Planner with confidence if choosing one from the UKAWP directory. All members are vetted and follow a code of ethics.
Planning for your big day takes on a whole new approach, when you have someone committed to achieving the wedding of your dreams. With a constant source of inspiration and a little black book full of recommended suppliers, who could deny that hiring a Wedding Planner was money well spent?
