Global Sales of the Prada Phone by LG Hits One Million Mark

LG Electronics (LGE), a worldwide technology and design leader in mobile communications, and PRADA Group (Prada) recently announced that the global sales of the much lauded Prada Phone by LGE have reached one million units.
Since its March 2007 debut, the Prada Phone by LGE has been recognized as one of the world’s most sophisticated handset combining innovative design with technological breakthroughs including the first complete touch screen. This visionary approach by intimate and productive partnership from two vastly different industries became a platform for new design opportunities and opened doors to diverse multimedia experiences.
The Managing Director of LG Electronics Levant, Mr. Kevein Cha said that the launch of this handset comes in line with the Company’s message to meet the needs and demands of different social strata around the globe. He also said, “The mobile space is one of, if not the, fastest moving consumer electronics field and among the rapid mobile handset releases, only a few achieve icon status. The Prada Phone by LG has done exactly that. At LG Electronics, stylish design, and smart technology make our product really stand out, something which is evident in the sales figures we are reporting now.”.
Encouraged by the strong market response, LGE and Prada have committed to further collaborations and will launch a new handset model starting from Europe in the fourth quarter of 2008.
