Unveils the first exclusive brand store at Ahmedabad’s high traffic shopping destination, C.G. Road.
Total number of GAS stores in India is now 10.

Sensuality with essentiality takes centre stage as Raymond Ltd., the leading Indian textile and apparel major and Grotto S.p.A, one of the most important Italian fashion companies, launch the first store of the premium Italian lifestyle & fashion brand GAS in Gujarat, via franchise route at C.G. Road, Ahmedabad.

Speaking on the launch, Mr. Zohair Officewalla, COO, GAS India, said, “This is an exemplar of our successful exclusive brand retail expansion in India in just one year of operations across Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore and now Ahmedabad. We are proud to launch our first store in Gujarat and the 10th store in India at C.G. Road in Ahmedabad. Besides, we are already present across 100 points of sale in over 25 important Indian cities through departmental stores and premium multi-brand outlets.”

The new GAS store is spread over 1,000 sq. ft of prime space in one of the most polished localities of the city. The stores is clearly divided into GAS’s trademark Dress Up and Dress Down range for men and women, giving the customers a complete lifestyle experience that includes the latest in international trends. GAS has introduced its international Spring/Summer 2008 collection at both the stores. GAS will offer the franchisee all the required support that is in line with the premium positioning of the brand and its philosophy. Today, GAS has 180 stores under franchise agreement and shop-in-shop concessions located throughout the world.

Based on the new international retail concept of the brand, the store design includes wood, concrete, polished metal, bronze, glass and photosensitive materials for a clean, solid and definitive look. The theme for the new retail concept comes from GAS double rainbow logo, which symbolizes all the fundamental values of the brand. The interiors of the store combine cutting-edge design with a large window facia, enhanced by a rainbow effect Plexiglas banner which gives an impressive view of the store from the outside.

The new retail concept reflects an exciting period of expansion for GAS and its brand philosophy. ESSENSUAL is the key word that captures and sums up the GAS brand positioning. A combination of ‘essential’, and ‘sensual’, it adds passion, warmth and


an international feel to the brand’s core values of expertise, positivity and authenticity.
