French designers to showcase expertise at 100% Design trade show

Added: (Wed Sep 03 2008)

The Trade Commission of the French Embassy in the UK will present four French bespoke designers at the 100% France stand at the 100% Design Show, which will be held in London from 18 to 21 September 2008. Members of the press are invited to meet the designers on Friday 19 September 2008 at 11:00am.

The 100% France stand (Stand #A34) will provide visitors with an opportunity to meet French companies representing a broad selection of players from the design industry. It will offer a unique environment in which architects and designers can discover original products and find new business partners.

The participating companies are Dalcans (virtual design), Ateliers du Drugeot (furniture), Espace Loggia (mobile beds), and Lalanne & Arduini Design (wall coverings and accessories). The stand will strengthen the presence of French businesses at the trade show, with a particular focus on bringing innovation and quality to the British market.

Companies on the collective stand are listed below; a catalogue with more details on each of the exhibitors is available upon request.

Dalcans provides integrated design service to end-users and businesses

The design of the 100% France stand itself will be created by Dalcans. The company is a leading specialist in virtual design. Dalcans’s expertise includes several complementary services, such as audio-visual design, customised audio-visual equipment, and innovative interactive flooring.

Dalcans has developed a global network, and works on both business-to-business projects and contracts involving private individuals. The company offers a complete service, from product design through to installation. Combining innovation, product design and virtual design, Dalcans creates stylish, inventive designs for all occasions.

Ateliers du Drugeot excels at high-end, bespoke furniture

Ateliers du Drugeot has been specialising in bespoke furniture made from 100% wild cherry and solid oak for 30 years. Its team of cabinetmakers designs and manufactures all of the company’s products in house. The company has been increasingly successful, thanks to the originality, functionality and quality of its products. Ateliers du Drugeot also distributes its products directly.

Espace Loggia frees up floor space with revolutionary ‘ceiling bed’

Espace Loggia was founded in the late 1970s by Mijanou Bardot – the sister of famous film start Brigitte Bardot. The company quickly introduced a range of innovative products, including the very first loft bed to be launched in France.

The revolutionary concept behind the brand is: how to enable customers to take full advantage of the volume of a room, rather than being limited to the size of the floor space?

To secure its leading position in the market and to further develop its innovative designs, Espace Loggia created the first mobile bed on offer in the early 1990s. Beds could now be stored right underneath the ceiling of a room, thus freeing up the floor space below – the ceiling bed was born.

Today, Espace Loggia combines its novel, adaptable furnishing concept with the expertise of its teams of interior designers and craftsmen.

The company has also developed the new concept of magnetic decors. Since 2007, Lalanne & Arduini has been creating designs on Perspex and has now also started making sculptures using Altuglas.
