Choosing the Right Carpet Color and Style For Different Themes

Asian


We recommended using a neutral colored carpet for an Asian style room. These colors include wheat, moccasin, peach, tan. They are going to make the rest of the room get noticed. Whether it's the red walls or the Asian décor, it gives a more pronounced oriental feel. Looped and textured carpet are the types of carpet that we would recommend for this particular themed room.


English


The English style is a classic. With a roomed filled with wooden furniture and artifacts with a Victorian feel, what we recommend is a very traditional styled carpet, preferably with a very classic leaf design. Such colors used for the carpet are dark reds, gold and dark orange. Remember, the room needs to have an Old World feel and to achieve this we strongly recommend berber carpet.


Modern

Latin

Compared to the other styles of rooms, the type of carpet is more important compared to the color. The colors can range from violet, light steel blue and light coral - all suave colors. It is imperative to use the Saxony type of carpet. Saxony is, like all things romantic, classy and will definitely make it more captivating.


As a reminder, do not forget the basics of carpet! A light colored carpet will make your room look smaller. Use lighter colored carpet for rooms with small amounts of light. Mid to dark colors make large rooms more cozier. Also, for high volume areas of your home, try to use a mid to dark colored carpet as it is easer to maintain and keep clean.
