ADD A BIT OF SPARKLE TO YOUR LIFE WITH THE CHAMPAGNE OF TEAS

Your daily brew need never be dull again if you choose from a new range of exceptionally rare top quality teas now offered by Cup of Tea ltd, the UK’s only distributor of the Ronnefeldt brand.

This exciting new range includes the "champagne" of teas, from Sri Lanka, Chinese Tea "Bricks" and even a variety of tea resembling chocolate.

The "champagne" tea, Ceylon Inverness, is a rare black tea with an exceptional taste and of the highest quality. It is hand harvested from the center of the island of Sri Lanka, on a 2,200m high tea estate Nuwara Eliya, an area renowned for having the "champagne climate for tea." This delightful tea is brimming with golden tips. Experts describe the tea as "superb with a spicy and sparkling flavour with a copper-red cup colour, typical of highland teas". Although this tea resembles champagne, it can still be taken with milk.

And if champagne isn’t enough - how about chocolate? High Tippy Yunnan is grown in unusually warm and humid soil conditions in the mountainous area of Southern China. This creates a wonderful looking tea of large black leaves with lots of golden tips. It is picked by hand and processed immediately creating tea of the highest quality. Tea from this area is described as the "Moccas" among teas and this one in particular is extremely chocolatey. If you’re a milk chocolate fan, brew the tea for three minutes but if dark chocolate’s more your style, five minutes. Add milk and the tea is perfect for breakfast.

If you want to stand out from the crowd, forget tea bags or even tea leaves. Impress your guests with Chinese Tea Bricks. In the past, tea from China was often shaped into bricks and even used as currency. The bricks were easy to carry around and convenient to prepare. Tea bricks are still common in Mongolia but almost forgotten in the UK.

Cup Of Tea’s up-to-date version of Chinese Tea Bricks come from Yunnan and are small and easy to use. One brick per cup makes the perfect brew. These bricks are mild and aromatic and produce an unusual looking tea which is bright yellow in colour.

Christine Collins, who runs Cup of Tea, explains: "These rare teas make a perfect gift and are a healthy alternative to champagne or chocolate. "

Other new rare teas on offer include China Pyramid, spring tea from Yunnan which is tied by hand and shaped into pyramids; China Rolling Clouds, where fresh buds are hand crafted to form small clouds dissolving when the tea is brewed and Mu Dan Tea Rose, a delicate Green Tea with where the leaves have been folded into beautiful blossom shapes.

All these teas, as well as Cup of Tea’s usual range, are available online from Cupoftea.uk.com.
