AOC presents four stylish LCD TVs with DVB-T tuner

Added: (Tue Nov 10 2009)

Berlin, 10 November 2009 – Superb design and performance excellence: global brand display specialist AOC broadens its LCD TV portfolio by introducing four new models with diagonal screen sizes ranging from 47cm (18.5”) to 80cm (32”). The classically-designed televisions are wrapped in a timeless black finish and reflect a piano gloss sheen which will cater to all tastes. Their superior quality and considerable connection options satisfy every requirement so that you can enjoy gripping high-definition TV and home entertainment. For instantaneous reception of digital terrestrial television (DVB-T), all four LCD TVs are equipped with a DVB-T tuner.

Whether compact, medium, or large, AOC’s new LCD TV quartet spoils consumers for choice, with 47cm (18.5”/ L19WB81 model), 54.8cm (21.6”/ L22WB81 model), 66cm (26”/ L26WB81 model) and 80cm (32”/ L32WB81 model) diagonal screen sizes available.

Thanks to an immense brightness capability (up to 500 cd/m˛) and a dynamic contrast ratio which yields vividly-coloured razor-sharp detailing, these HD Ready 16:9 widescreen models are truly astonishing. The displays’ lightening-speed response times ensure that even fast-paced action blockbusters or dramatic sports can be reproduced fluidly and free from distortion. The dynamic backlight automatically regulates brightness, so that the unique atmosphere of darker film scenes is faithfully presented. Furthermore, colour boosting optimises green enhancement and blue stretch for more saturated and vivid colours. The skin-tone correction technology secures natural depiction of skin shades. Last but not least, a selection of six picture, and four audio modes are provided so that the LCD TVs can be tailored to suit every individual preference.

Whether game consoles, audio systems, video recorders, camcorders, digicams, projectors, notebooks, netbooks or PCs, the new LCD TVs from AOC offer countless connection options for versatile home entertainment. Both of the smaller models each have a SCART plus and a HDMI (HDCP) connector – the two larger TVs have two of each. All four are fitted with a D-Sub (RGB) input for connecting your computer as well as with component and composite video interfaces.

An in-built superior stereo sound system guarantees perfect sound. You can also enjoy digital listening in coaxial S/PDIF format connected through for example, an AV receiver or directly via an active surround sound system with decoder. With HDMI CEC you can command other HDMI CEC-compliant home entertainment devices through a single system remote control.

Three models are scheduled for release by the end of November 2009, and the 66cm (26”) edition is to be launched in January 2010. The 47cm/ 18.5”/ L19WB81 model retails at GBP179, the 54.8cm/21.6”/ L22WB81 model at GBP 197, the 66cm/26”/ L26WB81 model at GBP 296 and the 80cm/32”/ L32WB81 model at GBP 340.
