Xenacode Offer Free Software for Work and Play

A selection of free software applications have been launched by Truro based software company Xenacode. The applications have been designed with both work and play in mind.
Two new Microsoft Office Add-Ins have been created to simplify everyday tasks such as performing various VAT calculations in Excel and quickly printing to any printer in the office from Word. These applications are designed to show how a simple product can save hours for any business. Microsoft Office Add-Ins can be as simple as these or full feature packed applications. Anything that can be done in Microsoft Office, as well as many things that can’t, can be simplified and automated.
The company is currently making a move into the mobile development market and is offering two free Microsoft Phone applications. For the Health conscious, there is a BMI (body mass index) tester for the phone, whilst for fun, the classic game Rock Paper Scissors has been given a modern twist as a mobile game.
Developer Ben Townend said “With the arrival of the new Microsoft Phone operating system on October 6th along with Marketplace, Microsoft’s equivalent of Apple’s hugely successful App Store, we wanted to be involved right from the start. Xenacode are now developing products for the Marketplace, with our first application awaiting approval from Microsoft.”
The applications are available to download now from the company’s website xenacode.biz.
Xenacode hope to show that working from Cornwall is no obstacle to accessing a worldwide software market.
