Internet technology company, Dot Com Imaging, has added another service to new and existing customers by offering internet hosting services and the latest in broadband internet access via satellite. Using a satellite link for ultra high-speed Internet connection ensures that any customer of Dot Com Imaging can have their needs met whatever their location.
Originating in London out of Pixel Imaging, a computer graphics company which serviced the Film, TV & Computer Games Industries, Dot Com Imaging moved to York in 1998 where it has experienced substantial growth. The company recently won a Deloitte & Touche Fast 50 Technology Award for Growth in the North, and is moving to new premises on York's Wigginton Road where demonstration suites will be available for customers to experience the new technology.
Dot Com Imaging managers believe that the company’s success has been due to its ability to offer a full solution to its customers and business partners. "A lot of web companies fall into two camps - either design or programming, but we can do both,” said Paul Tilly, Development Manager.
David Kirkham, founder of Dot Com Imaging, added, “The web development business is predominantly seen as a once only sale. This is mistaken. Where we have been successful is to guide our customers is in showing that this is an ongoing investment like any business development tool. We typically opt for a lower entry-level cost for our clients but encourage them to keep the development ongoing. We build long lasting relationships with our clients through understanding their business and delivering the right solution for it".
David and his team recognise that Internet is just one component of how an organisation is presented to its customers. Although still a small and agile firm Dot Com Imaging has an impressive corporate client list which includes ASDA and Lloyds of London.
Recently, Dot Com Imaging has been awarded a distribution deal for Satellite Broadband services for the North of England by Isonetric working with Hughes Networks Inc, a $20bn US company.
The connectivity and hosting packages complete Dot Com Imaging’s service portfolio and ensures that any customer can have broadband access to the internet.
