New JCodeBox Application and Component Builder Release Expands Functionality and Third Party Support
Added: (Mon Nov 17 2003)
London, UK - November 17, 2003 - Michael Campbell Associates Ltd are pleased to announce the release of version 1.50 of JCodeBox (http://www.jcodebox.com), their leading edge Java application and component builder. JCodeBox is a comprehensive, affordable development environment that allows developers to visually design, build and assemble Java enterprise and web applications (J2EE). JCodeBox can then automatically deploy the application giving the developer immediate feedback. This release includes new and enhanced web development features, direct integration with the Borland JBuilder IDE and support for additional application servers and databases.
"In response to customer feedback we have continued to extend the functionality and third party support available in JCodeBox," said Orla O'Sullivan, Sales and Marketing manager. "A key benefit of JCodeBox is its tight integration with the various application servers, databases and IDEs currently available."
One of the main additions in this release is plug-in support for the Borland JBuilder IDE. Users can iteratively create enterprise/web applications in JCodeBox without leaving the JBuilder environment. They can then export the application into a JBuilder project for ongoing maintenance. "As part of our partnership with Borland, JCodeBox is to be included on the JBuilder X partner CD", added O'Sullivan.
"Broadband Communications Solutions has been involved in JDBC driver and Java product distribution for several years. We are excited about being involved in the release of JCodeBox 1.50 as our newest Java related product for distribution," said Claude Hayn, CEO of the US-based company. "Atinav, our Sun Certified JDBC driver partner has rigorously tested its drivers for use with JCodeBox and we believe this will greatly add to the ease of development and the reliability of the overall Java application."
JCodeBox is still available at the competitive price of only 150 pounds sterling or $245. As well as helping experienced J2EE developers become more productive, JCodeBox provides significant help to users new to J2EE development. The intuitive visual interface is easy to use and shields users from having to understand every element of J2EE development immediately. Instead, they can master the required technologies (JNDI, JDBC, EJB, etc) at their own pace by experimenting with specific parts of their application and leaving JCodeBox to take care of the details.
Supported application servers include: Weblogic, Oracle, JOnAS, Tomcat, Resin, JRun, JBoss
Supported databases include: Oracle, MS SQL Server, DB2, Sybase, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Firebird, Pervasive.SQL
