LEADING SCANDINAVIAN IT SECURITY SOLUTIONS SPECIALISTS ENTER INTO SAFEMESSAGETM DISTRIBUTION AGREEME

3rd November - Securus Systems today confirmed that leading Scandinavian IT security solutions company – Instada nordic – has entered into an exclusive distribution agreement for its SafeMessageTM communication system. Under the terms of the agreement, SafeMessageTM will be the preferred email encryption system recommended by Instada nordic to its reseller and direct customer network in the Nordic countries.
The Nordic security market for this type solution is expected to be a $60-70 million market over the next five years).

“Over the last 18 months there have been increasing levels of concern expressed by clients and resellers about the robustness of SMTP based email systems. As a result, we initiated a comprehensive review of the email encryption market in Spring 2004. We are delighted to be now entering into this exclusive distribution agreement.”
Established in 2001 in Switzerland, Instada nordic operates primarily in Denmark, Sweden, Finland, Norway, Iceland, Greenland and the Faroe Islands via its own in-house solutions teams as well as through its IT reseller network for IT security solutions.

Through SafeMessageTM, all information within an email, including the message headers (to, from, date, subject) and attachments, is fully encrypted to a 3500 bit level. This provides levels of security that cannot be matched by SMTP email encryption systems where the message headers remain in plain text – making them open to “traffic analysis”.
Furthermore, through SafeMessageTM, the sender of a message has full control of the message after it has been sent – the sender being able to specify whether the receiver is able to copy, paste, save, forward or print the message and/or attachment.
