JOHN DEERE SEEDS OF HOPE PROGRAM HONORS COMMUNITY GARDENS
Added: (Thu Jun 21 2001)
Pressbox (Press Release) -
In urban neighborhoods across America, hardworking volunteers are turning vacant lots and abandoned sites into spectacular community gardens. Now it's time to once again honor these unsung heroes. The John Deere Seeds of Hope program will identify America’s most beautiful community gardens and salute those who tend them.
To help select the winners, organizers of the program are seeking nominations of deserving gardens. Nominated gardens will be judged on the basis of community involvement (including the participation of area youth), creativity and effort. Local residents, volunteers, organizers and supporters are all welcome to nominate their favorite community garden.
