Added: (Thu Jul 19 2001)
Hong Kong, July 19, 2001. Lotus Development Corporation’s Domino, remains to be a common choice for companies with groupware / collaborative application needs. Front-end add-on solutions are required for Domino sites to provide many essential messaging functions, including Anti-Virus, Anti-Spam, Disclaimer Insertion, Distribution List Support, among others. The needed engines to complete it as a messaging solution however do not come cheap. Through its latest product, the Internet Exchange Messaging Server (IEMS) 5, International Messaging Associates (IMA), offers affordable and extensive front-end solutions to this problem.
Effective immediately, IEMS 5 is bundled with free Lotus Notes and cc:Mail connectors. The free Notes and cc:Mail connector offer is included with every new purchase of IEMS5, which is offered at the special promotional price of $795 through the end of July. The base system is inclusive of a 25-user message store, and the equivalent number of connector licenses. User licensing is system wide, rather than being applied to individual components, making expansion and migration a simple and affordable process. Additional licenses are available for any number of users.
IEMS 5 Anti-Virus Module performs simultaneous virus scanning on MIME and non-MIME message attachments. Unsolicited and unwanted mail messages, on the other hand, are detected and acted upon during their SMTP transaction with the remote site or once received by the anti-spam module. IEMS migration tools allow Notes users to send and receive messages to and from the Internet and to communicate with other local channels. These tools provide a rich migration path for moving Lotus Notes users to open Internet Messaging standard
Instead of maintaining several complicated systems, IEMS 5 provides administrators with a simple, single mode of administration. More importantly, these various modules can be run on different machines. IEMS support for a distributed operation efficiently distributes computing capacity and resources, resulting to faster and more flexible processing of required tasks.
IEMS 5, available on Linux (all major distributions) and Windows operating systems, provides the ideal engine support for Lotus Notes. With its 24x7 technical support availability, users and administrators are assured that they can secure competent assistance anytime.
