ComponentOne Europe today announced the receipt of a Reader’s Choice Merit Award during the Visual Studio Magazine Reader’s Choice Awards Ceremony, held at the Microsoft TechEd Conference in Boston, MA. These awards, chosen by readers of Visual Studio Magazine, give recognition to first-class development software in 22 categories.
ComponentOne’s Doc-To-Help won its third consecutive award in the Help authoring category, an impressive accomplishment in a highly competitive Help authoring market. ComponentOne, the producer of Doc-To-Help, has long held a strong presence in the annual Visual Studio Magazine Readers Choice Awards and over the years has been awarded over 53 Readers Choice and Readers Choice Merit Awards combined. This year marks ComponentOne’s second strongest consecutive year with a total of eight awards.
“We’re excited about this accomplishment, given that there are only two award recipients each year, and we were one of the two to win this award for the last three consecutive years. We would like to sincerely thank all who voted for us during the 2006 VSM Reader's Choice Awards,” said Sunny Wong, managing director of ComponentOne USA. “We are dedicated to providing the industry and our users with great Help authoring tools and solutions that support up-and-coming technologies, while enabling them to create professional, yet robust Help systems.”
Doc-To-Help empowers technical communicators and software developers to author or import documentation in Microsoft® Word or any HTML editor to create online Help systems and professional printed manuals. Help systems produced with Doc-To-Help can be created in virtually any popular format including HTML Help, NetHelp (Cross-Platform HTML-based Help), JavaHelp, WinHelp, Visual Studio .NET-style Help, and printed documentation. Doc-To-Help appeals to developers because of its Documenter for .NET feature, which allows software developers to automate their .NET object model documentation, and create MSDN-style documentation from compiled assemblies and XML comment files providing complete and well-formatted documents for class libraries.
