ComArch delivers complete application for WLAN

Pressbox (Press Release) - ComArch TYTAN for Wireless LAN - a unique combination of billing expertise and long-term cooperation with Intel, provides a fully integrated application addressing authorization, authentication, accounting and billing in real-time, as well as revenue sharing across the value chain and content management.

ComArch TYTAN for WLAN addresses all the challenges of WLAN technology and fulfills all software requirements for Wireless LAN provider. It is composed of three basic functional modules: TYTAN 3ARTS, TYTAN Mobile Portal, and TYTAN Revenue Sharing. The application which can be deployed both on-site as well as in the outsourcing model is technologically supported by Intel- a worldwide leader in providing Wireless LAN solutions.

Starting with TYTAN 3ARTS operator will get system capable of providing WLAN service on pre-paid or post-paid basis. System has implemented full scratch cards management and pre-paid accounts handling. This module enables user handling – starting from authentication, through authorization till accounting.

TYTAN Mobile Portal enables delivery of user-defined content and creation of personalized content sites. Combined with full functionality of mWallet (electronic wallet) system enables providing new services and micro payments and pay-per-view charging functionality in very easy manner. As output consumer gets content this is well tailored for hardware possibilities (i.e. small PDA displays, reduced number of colors). mWallet implemented in the system can be recharged with credit- or scratch cards and then user can take advantages of micro payment-based services.

Step further there is place for system which will take care for service aggregator’s (WLAN provider’s) partners. As TYTAN Mobile Portal enables presenting content of various service providers next to it TYTAN Revenue Sharing states application where operator can manage partners, agent, resellers and theirs settlement agreements. Based on configured tree of charging rules can construct any possible schemas for sharing revenues: margin, initial-cap, percentage discounts and many more. Each partner can get console where he can review his account and usage data (WLAN connections, statistical reports) and the system can then provide proper reports.
