ASSETWARE AND FRONTRANGE AGREE TO OFFER ADVANCED IT ASSET MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
Assetware Technology, leading supplier of asset management solutions, has entered into a strategic partnership with FrontRange Solutions, suppliers of the award-winning HEAT service and support solution. This agreement complements Assetware's alliance with Centenniel, suppliers of Discovery, auto-discovery software. As a result, Assetware is now offering an advanced and fully integrated IT asset management system to a UK and international customer base.
Auto-discovery software audits the IT installation and dynamically updates the asset database, recording hardware configuration, software installed, license information and more. This allows companies to control their IT inventory, reduce the cost of IT ownership, achieve and maintain legal software license compliance and obtain greater security of company assets. The combination of asset database, auto-discovery and technical support gives support-desk staff access to this comprehensive and detailed information about the IT installation, thus allowing much speedier resolution of problems.
Research has shown that when this information is not automatically available, an average call to the support desk lasts 17 minutes, of which nine are spent simply identifying the users hardware and software configuration.
HEAT Service & Support has many powerful features, including; knowledge management, remote support, self-service, and remote access. Incidents and their resolution are logged and used to build a knowledge base. This quickly becomes a rich resource for the resolution of future incidents and trend analysis to continually improve the support function.
