Aapam Technologies Announces early access release of Aapam Workflow -- a java workflow engine

Aapam Workflow is a light weight workflow solution provided as an embeddable and as an EJB. It comprises of functionality to design, deploy and manage the workflows. Aapam Workflow provides the ability to define the workflow in an easy to use graphical interface enabling the users to define, change and control the business process. A highly cost effective small footprint Engine and its availability as a java component and also as an EJB component makes it highly attractive for ISVs to embed it within their applications.

Aapam Workflow Studio is a visual design IDE for developing workflows by dragging and dropping predefined tasks. Using a flowchart paradigm, Developers can use the Studio to define business processes that span applications or to automate human interaction with applications or to assemble application components quickly. It offers the ability to model complex workflows, their data structures and variables, and also lets you assign resources to activities.

The Aapam Workflow Engine is a runtime module that provides the needed environment for the execution and management of created applications. Individual business processes may have life cycles ranging from seconds to days (or longer), depending on the complexity and duration of the various constituent activities. Aapam Workflow Engine provides the needed environment for such execution. The execution of the workflows in the Engine can be controlled using the well defined API provided along with the Aapam Workflow.

Aapam workflow is not only light and scalable, but also has a rich feature set. The features include a complete visual editor, Integrated Data Model, Integrated Document Management, Version Control, Declarative Resource Information, Ability to run in Java and EJB Modes, Pluggable Custom Operations and Rapid and Easy Integration.
