Almaty. New book “Franchising in Kazakhstan” released on January 2008. For the first time in Central Asian and Caucasus region has been published the book that highlights the domestic franchising. Annual turnover of franchising market In Kazakhstan is estimated at $ 500 million for 2007. More than 120 franchising systems and about 1000 franchisees are represented in the country.
Kazakhstan market survey is based on research of 10 domestic franchising case studies. International mega brands such as Coca Cola, InterContinental, Baskin Robbins and others are expanding in Kazakhstan thru franchising.
Book describes segments of national business, which have high potential for franchising.
Kazakhstan is potential member of WTO organization and book analyses how membership will impact on franchising sector. Also book covers general aspects of the legislation of franchising in Kazakhstan and provides an overview of regional centers and human resource of domestic franchising.
Several chapters of the book devoted to international franchising market overview. International franchising market overview and statistics presented in the book with information on countries such as China, the United States, Japan, Brazil, France, India, Turkey, Russia and others. Book overviews international franchising development institutes: IFA, Word Franchise Council, JFA, EFF and etc.
Franchising covers many industries of the world economy, but franchising mechanisms also frequently used in untypical for franchising areas. Author of book Beknur Kissikov calls this kind of franchising – the non-classical franchising. Non-classical franchising includes: social, event, media and Internet franchises. It should be noted that the term "event franchising” was given in this book for the first time.
