Pressbox (Press Release) - Amman, Jordan (March 2006) - As part of its on-going commitment to become an active member in the community, XPress Telecommunications decided this year to celebrate Mothers Day, on March 21st, with the elderly. In light of this notable social occasion, members from XPress's team paid a visit to nursing homes in Amman, including Dar Al Amal, and the Amman Home for the Elderly, to share the joys of parenting with the people living in them.
This initiative taken by XPress Telecommunications comes in an effort to celebrate parents' contribution to the family and the community, and in an aim to draw a smile on their faces, and to ensure that on this particular day they gain all the recognition and admiration they deserve.
"We, at XPress have a serious interest in carrying out sincere corporate social responsibility programs of this kind, as we believe that we must help elevate Jordans social and economic development. Mothers Day is an occasion in which it is our duty as individuals to show our love and compassion for the elderly members of our community. This is their day, and they deserve our utmost admiration, for they are the reason we are where we stand today, and they are the building blocks of the future generation that is educated and determined to secure a brighter future for Jordan, "said XPress Chief Marketing Officer Mr. Ashraf Samawi.
Mr. Samawi added, "We have taken a special interest and have made it our responsibility to support those in need."
In light of this occasion, XPress's team members shared gifts with the members of the two retirement homes, and these gifts were given as a token of appreciation for their commitment and the sacrifices they had to make along the years.
