Women Entrepreneurs Showcase their Potential
Added: (Tue May 06 2008)
ABi in partnership with Braintcroft School and the local community are pleased to announce the first ever Souk Event to be held on Saturday 10th May 2008
This event will give 15 mothers – potential entrepreneurs an opportunity to “test trade” their business idea – inviting the local community to come and support budding entrepreneurs.
On the day women will put their enterprise training and wit to good use, to trade and sell their products and services. Over 200 people from the wider community are expected to attend, providing the ideal opportunity test their products and ideas!
This test-trading programme has been developed by ABi to provide not only practical hands-on support but valuable insight into their potential customers and the realities of starting or formalising their business idea.
ABi have developed the test trading idea to improve skills and confidence to continue their development as both entrepreneurs and as role models within their communities. ABi aims to promote cohesion, and create a new platform for family development.
Kym Kamall Client Relationship Advisor at ABi Associates – specialises in assisting women to start up a business, and believes ...
“Test Trading is about giving women the opportunities to promote and receive feedback of their products and services as well as providing a stepping stone into self employment. For many women this is the first time they will expose their products to such a wide customer base and I hope it will also help to raise their confidence. I am excited by this new venture, which we are seeking to rollout“
The event welcomes everyone, and in addition to the showcase market place, information and advice on all aspects of starting a business will be available.
