Packing things and moving to a new place can be a very stressful. But you can save yourself from this stress by simply focusing on logical organization prior to and during your move. Create a list of items that are to be packed. This will help track down your items upon arrival. Get all types of packaging materials, packaging tapes, small, medium and large sized cardboard boxes as per your packing requirements many weeks before the actual move takes place. Fill a greater number of medium sized moving boxes rather than using smaller number of larger sized boxes. This will reduce the likelihood of injury and will make it easier for you to relocate the boxes from one place to another. Label all boxes with the contents that are packed in those boxes. This will make it much easier for you to unpack the boxes that your require first after reaching the new place.

Donate or toss items that you no longer intend to use.

It is better to either donate or toss items that are no longer in your use. Take an honest look at the items in your house and decide which are truly worth taking with you. It is not worth loading up on extra moving boxes simply to bring along items you have no intention of using ever again. Pack items that you will need on your first day e.g. change of clothes for everyone, toothbrushes, phone chargers, toiletries etc in separate boxes so as you can easily access such items without unpacking heavy boxes. There are items that are definitely worth keeping out of your moving boxes or the moving truck it. Important documents like your bank records, investment papers etc should be transported in your personal vehicle only. Also your medical prescriptions, jewelry and other valuable items must be kept in your personal vehicle during your move before you reach the new place.
