The UK's First Supercar Shared Ownership Syndicates

IF you’ve always aspired to be rich enough to own a Ferrari but thought it was an impossible dream then you need to think again.
For thanks to Steve Woodhead, a 38 year-old entrepreneurial Leeds businessman the chance to own one of the world’s Supercars is a reality.
He’s launched a new company 12thShare.com, and now offers the UK’s first Supercar shared ownership programmes that are open to all. From now on it’s not just the super rich who can afford to own and drive a luxurious motor.
The secret is in fractional ownership – a form of timeshare. Twelve like-minded individuals come together and each pay for a twelfth of the cost of a car such as a Ferrari, Lamborghini, Bentley or Aston Martin, driving them for up to 27 days throughout the year.
They then pay an annual management fee which covers insurance, servicing maintenance and all the other costs including door to door delivery and collection.
After 12 months the car is sold and all monies are then distributed back among the 12 members.
It’s a simple concept that has already proved a success in America where individuals regularly club together to buy a part shares in luxury yachts and private jets.
Steve said: “Fractional ownership not only makes luxury car ownership possible for those on a budget, it also makes financial sense to those who can afford to buy but cannot justify the cost when they compare it to the amount the car is actually used.”
As well as the use of their car for up to 27 days a year, all those enrolled in the plan will be invited to attend a unique driver evaluation and training day with a professional instructor.
Steve, who is married to Gina and has a nine-year-old daughter said: “I get as excited as the next man about the prospect of driving a dream car and I know that fractional ownership is the only way I’ll be able to fulfil my dreams.
“The British have become very sophisticated consumers and the demand for fractional ownership programs is a demonstration of that sophistication. Our “want it now” culture works well with shared ownership without breaking the bank.”
