The Coming Network Marketing boom!

One of the first things that a new inductee within network marketing will be asked to do is to write down their dreams and goals. They will be asked to consider what 5 things they would do, have or become if money was no object and they will be given a path to help them to achieve their list. Far from being a cult or brain washing society, network marketing is regarded by many business leaders as the business of the future.
The benefits for the distributor are numerous and include being able to choose the people with whom they work, work when and where they want, great travel opportunities, incentives such as cars, watches etc, fantastic tax benefits and unlimited income. More and more people are getting sick and tired of working for someone else, spending hours in rush hour traffic not to mention the rising cost of fuel. Unlike conventional Corporations with one chief executive at the top, in Network Marketing everyone is the CEO of his or her own independent organization.
Network marketing has grown significantly since its birth in the 1940’s such that it is now a multibillion dollar industry and is regarded by many as the business of the future. Sadly its reputation has been tarnished with the advent of chain letters, “gifting” scams and other pyramid / get rich quick schemes, where money was given for the right to involve others, as no valid product which was being purchased from the company.
There are literally thousands of network marketing companies to choose from but the fundamentals of the business are the same throughout the industry relying very much on the power of duplication. A big part of the business is the ability to follow the successful patterns, strategies, and systems developed by leaders within the organisation. Most people when asked the question “which would you rather have, a penny a day that doubles for 28 days or £100,000?” would at first pick the £100,000. The penny ad day doubling however will reach the tidy sum of £1.3 million by day 28!
Despite being an opportunity that is open to everyone regardless of background and experience, it is not for everyone. Most people equate security with a nine-to-five job and see the rat race as a necessary evil in life. They are tied to the golden handcuffs of a job where their income is just enough that they are unable to leave but not enough to achieve any financial independence or security. Anyone who needs the security of an hourly paid job or who needs someone to check over their shoulder is not a likely candidate to consider network marketing.
So, if someone is looking for a network marketing company there are a few questions that should be asked. Is the company established? Is it in a growth market? Is it a member of the DSA (direct sales association whose code of ethics prevents any member company from making any statements or promises that might mislead either consumers or prospective sales people)? What support systems are available (conference calls, training sessions, websites etc)?
