Site Visibility wins 5-way pitch to develop new Energy Saving Trust microsite

Added: (Fri Nov 04 2005)

Site Visibility has been awarded the tender to develop a new microsite for the Energy Saving Trust (EST). The microsite is for an EU funded project called 'Treatise'.

The main aim of Treatise is to train energy professionals in the area of sustainable green transport. The project is being coordinated by the EST in London and also involves seven other partners from Austria, Belgium, Finland, France, Greece, the Netherlands and Spain. The website will be enable visitors to sign-up for training courses in their country and access training materials online.

South Coast based Site Visibility will be responsible for the overall development of the site which will contain multi-lingual web pages and a content management system. The agency will also be responsible for developing the site's search engine marketing strategy so that energy professionals can easily locate the site in search engines.

Bob Saynor, Programme Manager at the EST comments: “We chose Site Visibility because of their previous experience in the energy sector and they demonstrated a real understanding of how to market the site to individuals that use search engines to research 'green transport' related issues."

Damon Lightley, Account Director at Site Visibility adds: "The Web is an ideal channel to promote training of this nature because it can provide trainees with remote access to up-to-date training materials. Some of the tools that we are building into the site are very exciting. For example, trainees will be able to download an ‘eco-driving simulator’ on to their desktop. This is an interactive game that will enable trainees to drive a vehicle through a virtual town. During their session, trainees will receive tips on how to reduce their fuel consumption. At the end of the game they are given a score relating to how efficiently they drove the vehicle.”

The site is set to be completed in early January 2006. An interim site with information about the project will be available in December 2005 at www.treatise.eu.com
