Pressbox (Press Release) -
Traditionally a popular month for weddings, this October also sees the timely launch of The Suffolk Wedding Show, a new initiative from Suffolk Events designed to promote resources for local weddings in an innovative and inspirational way. Unlike typical wedding fairs in the Eastern Region, The Suffolk Wedding Show will provide events equivalent to the large, city-based exhibitions on a smaller, more local scale. Company creator, Melissa Neisler-Dickinson, explains: "we believe that wedding fairs should not only provide information, but also create anticipation and excitement: our aim is to bring the glamour normally associated with wedding shows held in national cities to local couples, and to surround our visitors with a real flavour of weddings while giving them access to an excellent range of local suppliers and resources. For suppliers, the fairs offer an opportunity to exhibit at reasonable rates that give all businesses an opportunity to take part: we are proud to be featuring over 70 exhibitors, including many new, local companies who offer excellent products at good value prices, and who have a real passion for what they do".
In contrast to the typically cramped and restrictive wedding fairs usually hosted in the region, the coming event will include fashion displays in the form of walk-around models, recitals by live local bands, singers and string quartets, and will feature a marquee courtesy of Fabulous Functions incorporating decorated tables to display a range of colour schemes and presentation ideas, a chocolate fountain, pay bar and refreshments. Events include a competition to win a £8,000 wedding in association with Ufford Park, SGR FM radio & Cherished Events Wedding Planners, as well as opportunities to win jewellery and photography packages, among other prizes.
The first Suffolk Wedding Show is scheduled to take place on Sunday 15th October at Ipswich school on Henley Road, and coincides with the launch of
the Suffolk Wedding Shows Magazine, The Bride Guide, a new publication targeted specifically at a local audience. Any business interested in joining the many national and international suppliers featuring in the fair and magazine should contact the company through their website, www.thesuffolkweddingshow.co.uk.
