SCOTTISH PERSONAL INJURY FIRM LAUNCH MAJOR T.V. & PRESS CAMPAIGN

On 1st September 2005 Scottish personal injury specialists Accident Claims Scotland launch an extensive TV & press campaign, aimed at the majority of the public who are injured through no fault of their own but do not make a claim for compensation to which they are legally entitled.
Managing Director Martin Haggarty stated "Despite the myth of a "compensation culture" being perpetuated by the insurance industry and certain sections of the media, the number of claims being made has remained static over the last few years with only around 1 in 3 innocent injury victims claiming their compensation. Many of these people feel it's too complicated or too expensive a procedure. Accident Claims Scotland aim to try and educate them that this needn't be the case."
"Our first TV advert, "Red Tape", kicks off a series of ads which will go out on all Scottish commercial stations and several satelite channels, and is voiced by Alex Norton, star of TV drama series "Taggart". It explains that we are here to cut through the red tape which can occur in the claims process, making it as painless as possible whilst offering a genuine no win, no fee service."
"In the coming year, we will be emphasising that Scotland has a different legal system to that of the rest of the UK, and that this is particularly relevant to the way in which accident claims are funded bearing in mind that the "Access To Justice Act" does not apply to Scotland, something that many English-based claims firms fail to point out in their advertising and indeed may not even be aware of!
