OUTSEC IS SHORTLISTED FOR NATIONAL INNOVATORS AWARD
Vanessa Phillips, Managing Director of OutSec.co.uk, the innovative British online secretarial service, has been shortlisted for a prestigious award at the British Female Inventor & Innovator Network ( BFIIN) 2006 Ceremony to be held at the Guildhall in the City of London on 21st February 2006.
Established seven years ago, the awards are the most extensive platform for the recognition of women’s inventive ideas and the awards event is organised to celebrate and promote the creative, inventive and innovative products and inventions by women. The theme of this year’s event is Empowerment Through Technology. Vanessa has been nominiated for her development of FileManager, a unique program that allow remote PCs to transfer files quickly and securely without the need for email.
OutSec was set up by Vanessa in 1999 and it now has 200 corporate clients supported by over 100 teleworking secretaries located throughout the UK and overseas. The unique FileManager software system developed by OutSec enables home workers to access dictated work in real time and offer their typing skills to a large number of potential clients through the internet.
