Pressbox (Press Release) -
Canvas printing is done onto proper, woven artists canvas from a digital image or photograph. Professionals can scan your precious photographs and create a digital image from them, then print it onto the canvas. So you can have any of your older photographs enlarged for canvas printing. It doesn't even matter if there are some blemishes on the original photograph, because these can be removed from the image afterwards, before it is transferred onto the canvas.
Canvas printing gives everyone the chance to have beautiful prints made of older photos or more recent digital images. If you are not sure if the resolution is good enough for enlargement, ask the professionals. They are trained in all aspects of canvas printing. They will assess the photo quality to be sure of a really great finished product.
If they don't think the photo you have provided is good enough quality to print well, they will tell you so, then it is up to you to decide whether you'll go ahead with the original, or find a better one. Often the professionals can touch up your chosen photo to make the finished product a better picture.
Since canvas printing is done onto a fabric, special dye is used. It goes deep into the fabric and will not scratch off, rub off or go shiny with age.
Mel writes about canvas printing, canvas prints and other photo gift topics.
