Just Search CEO appointed to Getupdated board

Pressbox (Press Release) - Paul Yates, CEO of search marketing agency, Just Search, has been formally appointed to the board of Scandinavian internet marketing group, Getupdated.


Yates, whose company was acquired by Getupdated in November 2007, was formally elected to the board at the December extraordinary shareholder meeting and joins a strong and highly experienced group of professionals whose aim is to build on the progress made in the last twelve months and continue driving the business forward in 2008.


He comments: "When Just Search was acquired, part of the agreement meant that I would formally join the group’s board of directors. This merely rubber stamps that element of the deal but I am delighted that the formalities have been concluded and that my appointment has been confirmed.


"I am under no illusions as to the size of the task facing me and my fellow board colleagues as we look to grow Just Search and establish the group as the leading global player in search and internet marketing. However, the ability in the team is outstanding and I am now looking forward to adding my expertise to what is already an impressive blend of proven experience."


With Kjell Ormegard as its chairman, the new Getupdated board will now refine the management set-up to ensure that a structure is put in place to best realise the overall aims of the Group. Ormegard concludes: "The new board comprises myself, Caroline Sundewall, Johan Lenander, Åke Eriksson, Johann Kadar and Paul Yates. The strengthening should be viewed against our plans to continue our rapid international expansion and to apply for listing on one of the stock exchange’s larger listings this year.
