IT SERVICES LEADER TO BE IBA’S MD IN EUROPE
IBA Technologies Limited (ASX: IBA) announced the appointment of Mr John Tilley today as the Managing Director of its rapidly growing business in Europe (IBA Technologies (Europe) Limited).
Mr Tilley is a successful business leader with an exceptional track record of growth in the IT sector, specialising in healthcare.
As Managing Director of Sema Group UK, a FTSE 100 IT services and outsourcing company, he grew revenue from £187 million to £470 million. At the same time he amalgamated three of Sema’s business units and instituted a highly successful change management process, which aligned the business with vertical markets such as healthcare.
“IBA is superbly placed in the UK,” said Mr. Tilley. “Its business model is exactly what the British healthcare market is demanding, namely a managed service of software and services. IBA is clearly differentiated from its competitors by having a comprehensive offering in both clinical and administrative software.
“My history is one of building shareholder value quickly and soundly and with IBA’s pipeline of contracts and opportunities, the prospects are excellent. At this stage in my career I want the challenge of building a large, profitable and durable company in a space which I know well.”
In addition to its existing customers and recent contract wins in the UK, IBA has been selected on a panel of four vendors in the South West region of England for software and services with 29 National Health Service trusts worth up to £200 million.
