Glimmer of Hope as Suppliers Make a Generous Gesture
Red Letter Days are finding themselves besieged by worried customers and suppliers alike. Customers wanting to know if their Red Letter day Experiences are safe and suppliers asking if and when they will get paid.
Without payment and without any guarantees that the money will be forthcoming, three Red Letter Days’ suppliers joined Go Ballistic, the paintball supplier, in withdrawing their supply and are refusing to honour any further bookings until debts have been settled.
After hearing rumours about the company’s financial problems, Thruxton Motors and Everyman Motors, called an emergency meeting with Red Letter Days to discuss their position yesterday. Red Letter Days stated were unable to settle the outstanding debts of nearly 400k and could give not give any guarantees for the future. This resulted in both companies withdrawing their services to Red Letter Days. A Director of the companies said, “We had no choice. We are not prepared to offer any further credit as there seems little hope of Red Letter Days being in a position to pay. Unfortunately we will also have to turn away any customers that arrive at our tracks with Red Letter Days vouchers as we cannot honour them.”
Karting Nation has also refused to supply any karting experiences as from today. A spokeswoman said “We thought Red Letter Days would be a reliable customer given their reputation, but clearly this is not the case.”
Red Letter Days founder and Chief Executive, Rachel Elnaugh, a multi-millionaire made famous by her appearance on the TV show ‘The Dragons’, was not available to comment as she is currently absent from the ailing business recovering from the birth of her fourth child born on Monday of this week.
Not wanting to disappoint the customers that are still in possession of Red Letter Days vouchers all suppliers have offered to provide the same experience at a reduced published price on the production of a valid Red Letter Days Voucher. Go Ballistic Paintball said “It is unfortunate that they will have to pay again but at least they can still enjoy their anticipated experience.” Contacts as follows:
