Hotel starts major refurbishment

The Peterborough Marriott hotel is pleased to announce that it has started a
£3.5 Million Pound refurbishment to all of the 163 Bedrooms, 11 Meeting
Rooms and all public areas including the reception area, restaurant, lounge
and the garden lounge.
The new guest room bedrooms were inspired by the Park Lane Marriott in
London. The style conveys timeless sophistication that is warm and inviting
with ample use of rich cherry wood and yellow and red tones. The look is
clean and crisp with simple forms, straight lines and uncluttered surfaces.
Upscale touches create a sense of luxury and comfort with more stone, glass
and chrome finishes.
A Key component of the room is the contempory bedding, which features a
Feathered mattress topper, 300 thread count sheets, a white sheeted duvet,
Decorative bed skirt and indulgent pillows.

The 11 state-of-the art New Look Conference and Meeting rooms are
available for hire from late August, making the Peterborough Marriott Hotel
the premier destination for meetings and conferences in the area.
The Sir Henry Royce Suite, Which accommodates up to 300 Delegates and
can be divided into three separate suites will be fully refurbished and is
available for hire from mid August with fantastic new lighting and
refurbished Suite & Foyer area.
The reception will be completely redesigned and benefit from new soft
furnishings, along with a newly designed Restaurant and bar, ensuring this
becomes a fantastic destination to relax and dine for the local market and
the business & leisure traveller.
To ensure guest safety, the Peterborough Marriott Hotel will also be
installing a new sophisticated sprinkler system. All 163 Bedrooms have had
this installed in early 2007 and all other public areas have just been
completed this month.
