From F1 to P1 - the Marine Industry beckons for JSP!

The growing competitive and commercial stature of the UIM Powerboat P1 World Championship is reflected in the arrival this year of the ARPRO® Racing team.
Married couple Jackie Hunt and Mike Shelton cannot fail to make an impression on the SuperSport class thanks to the sponsorship of JSP, a global provider of engineered plastic foams and related technologies.
Their American-built Dragon will be painted a striking pink, the colour associated with ARPRO®, JSP’s hugely successful expanded polypropylene product which is supplied extensively amongst car manufacturers.
JSP, already familiar in motorsport through their association with Formula One teams Jaguar and Minardi, were keen to extend their involvement and identified P1 as the perfect arena to pursue their marketing ambitions.
More specifically, Powerboat P1 has been identified as the best platform to generate awareness of ARPRO® to the marine industry whilst providing opportunities for ‘Monaco-style’ client entertainment and hospitality at every Championship round.
The marine industry offers potential for ARPRO® beyond its traditional automotive and packaging applications. The ‘reformability’ product has expanded – literally – from the core of bumpers to use in car features as varied as sun visors, head rests and tool boxes.
JSP have a track record any racing team would aspire to. Founded in 1962, this public company is quoted on the Tokyo Stock Exchange and has worldwide manufacturing, sales and support locations.
