UK meditation firm Human Law Mediation has published a detailed white paper guide advising how to keep disputes away from the Court room.
Accredited mediator Justin Patten has published the Guide to Keeping Away from Employment Tribunals and Court Room Battles in a bid to encourage greater use of mediation especially in workplace and commercial disputes.
Justin, not only a mediator but also a fully qualified solicitor, believes that using mediation can save money, maintain business relationships and avoid negative publicity.
Justin explains: “Mediation has a great success rate – over 80% of cases that enter mediation are settled – which means a satisfactory result for both parties. Compare this to the blunt approach of the Court system, designed to find a ‘winner’ and a ‘loser’ and the advantages are clear.
“For companies it is possible to resolve disputes with employees amicably. Given the potential size of employment tribunal claims and awards a business can save significant sums.
“Disputes between companies can also be settled using mediation – often meaning that a business relationship can continue, which never happens if one party takes another to Court.”
The 14-page Guide provides a complete road map for business owners and managers who need to lower the cost of settling disagreements and disputes with employees, customers and suppliers.
Readers of the Guide will be given a full understanding of the different options open to them in resolving disputes – and their costs. There is also a useful 6-point plan for effective dispute resolution which could save thousands on every dispute ever faced.
The Guide also helps the reader to understand how to avoid Employment Tribunal and Civil Litigation cases and their associated resource implications
This Guide is being billed as essential reading for business owners, HR professionals and managers across the UK – as an essential tool to support their day to day decision making process so that time and effort can be put into managing the business instead of managing problems.
A copy of the Guide is available to download from the Human Law Mediation website – www.human-law.co.uk or by calling Justin Patten on 0844 800 3249.
Justin Patten is an accredited mediator with the Academy of Experts and is also a fully qualified solicitor having spent many years handling client disputes through the courts he now offers full commercial mediation and training services to lawyers and their clients.
