Footcare and Dedicated Nail Cutting Services Launched in Reading

Pressbox (Press Release) - WHAT'S WANTED SERVICES now launching additional services in Reading and sorroundings.

Foot Care Services
Since October 2009 we are providing non-medical foot care services, such as toenail cutting (including for the elderly & frail who cannot do this themselves), delivered in clients' homes. To ensure high quality service, our team is trained by the West Berkshire Primary Care Trust.
Our aim is to offer best service to our clients at home and at the same time our social aim is to offer employment opportunities to those with limited working hours available such as people on benefits or mothers with children at school during the daytime.

Dedicated Nail Cutting Service Launched
The dedicated toe nail cutting service is now operating successfully in the Reading Borough Council area with 4 female service providers. We are now undertaking publicity and marketing efforts directed at community associations, sheltered housing communities and care homes in Reading.

October will see the launch of the foot care dedicated toe nail cutting service in West Berkshire Authority area starting in Newbury and Thatcham. All our service providers will be NHS/PCT trained and the PCT has facilitated the expansion into West Berkshire with an introduction to a lead service provider who has been trained by the PCT.

Wokingham Borough Council has welcomed the proposed development of our service into Wokingham and aided the start-up with a small enterprise grant. The assistance proposed also includes publicity covering the award for the foot care service, advertising jobs for service providers on their website and help in providing details of local community groups, sheltered housing communities and other user groups. We anticipate opening the Wokingham service in December 2009.
