Find Out How the Small Business Administration (SBA) Can Help Your Business

When you think of the United States Small Business Administration (SBA), do you know what the SBA does and how it defines the companies that are eligible for its services? It's trickier than you might think as small business size requirements vary from industry to industry.

When you think of the United States Small Business Administration (SBA), do you know what the SBA does and how it defines the companies that are eligible for its services? It's trickier than you might think as small business size requirements vary from industry to industry.

One thing is certain, however. The SBA was created in 1953 to "aid, counsel, assist and protect the interests of small business concerns, to preserve free competitive enterprise and to maintain and strengthen the overall economy of our nation," according to the description on www.sba.gov.

Join our Strategic Conversations call on Wednesday, January 16, 2008 at 2 p.m. Eastern Time and hear what William M. Manger, Jr, Associate Administrator, Office of Field Operations for the SBA, has to say about the SBA and what it can do for you.

Manger's role at the SBA is to implement SBA Administrator Steve Preston's reform agenda within the agency's 10 regional and 68 district offices. He monitors district performance goals and provides policy guidance to regional administrators and district directors.

With the SBA since 2005, Manger was first employed in the private sector, in a small business and then at a large financial services organization. He also dabbled in politics on the local and federal level, including running for a seat in the U.S. House of Representatives after serving as a senior policy adviser in the U.S. Department of Transportation.

Some of the topics that Manger and Interviewer Wayne Messick will cover on January 16 include: SBA programs and services, how small businesses can secure government contracts and the SBA's new Patriot Express Loan Initiative.

Join our Strategic Conversations interview with Bill Manger on Wednesday, January 16 and listen to his valuable information and advice. Make your business even more successful by learning what he has to say. If you'd like more information about this event, visit Strategic Conversations Interview with William Manger, http://www.ibizresources.com/audio-interviews/Bill-Manger.html where there is no pre-registration requirement or charge.

In addition, you can participate in the event. During the call, you may send, anonymously of course, questions or topic areas unique to your needs that you would like Manger to cover during his live interview with Wayne Messick, editor-in-chief of www.iBizResources. Messick is an experienced interviewer of business owners.
