Pressbox (Press Release) - As part of Global Entrepreneurship week, David Blair, award winning interim FD and CEO of the DBA Group will be presenting at the first International Convention on Enterprise Promotion. The International Enterprise Promotion Convention (IEPC) will be held in Harrogate International Centre in Yorkshire on 15 – 17th November.

The event will showcase best practice and innovation in the creation and support of small businesses world-wide. Sponsored by UK Trade & Investment and supported by The Queen’s Awards Office together with recent recipients of The Queen’s Award for Enterprise Promotion, the event is set to be an excellent platform for new businesses to learn and grow. It heralds the start of Global Entrepreneurship week, which runs from 16th to 22nd November.

David Blair’s presentation will focus on ‘Using joined up thinking to make cash go further.” He will draw on real life examples and provide practical guidance to help growing companies make their money go further.

Blair, CEO of DBA Group commented: “Working with budding entrepreneurs is both a challenge and a privilege. Given the current economic climate it is more important than ever that they really understand their business model and the impact of the constant changes within their commercial environment. This enables them to manage the impact of things they cannot change and focus their energy on influencing things that they can”

Blair continued: “ Business is all about planning and execution. Even sophisticated and expensive business plans often fail because failure to consider operational details wastes resource, frequently leading to corporate failure. Entrepreneurs need to be able to focus on the goal of “draining the swamp” without forgetting the need to ”fight the alligators” on the way. ‘Joined up thinking’ allows them to keep both objectives in view, enabling them to survive and thrive in 2010.”

DBA Group has a strong track record of working with entrepreneurs to help deliver their dreams. Since David founded DBA Group in 1994, he and his team have advised over 40 companies and worked closely with a wide range of specialist investors to deploy in excess of 60 million pounds within entrepreneurial businesses.
