Crowdsourcing the Writing of a Book on Recruitment

There is an often uncomfortable relationship between employers and the recruitment industry. The recruitment industry experienced huge growth in the late 20th century but faces a less certain future in 2009 - recession, social networking open to employers, accusations of excessive fees and many other issues. Recruitment is a fragmented indusrty with fragmented stories and views. Today, Prefio.com announced a major project - for all of those who use recruitment or provide it's services to write a book as a collaborative project using "wiki" technology.
Crowdsourcing, is an increasingly powerful way of working and this project aims to capture the knowledge, wisdon and examples of a mass of participants. Initially the book will exist on the internet but if the "crowd" produces sufficient high quality content then it will be published, with all contributors credited.
