CiC (www.cic-eap.co.uk), one of the UK’s leading Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) providers, today announced that Kate Nowlan, CiC’s Chief Executive, and Libby Payne, the company’s Clinical Director, have amicably agreed a management buy-out of the company from its parent, wpf. The decision has the blessing of the wpf board and CiC will continue to have links with the charity going forward.
Kate Nowlan and Libby Payne will be joined by two new directors to form a new four-strong board for CiC. Nick Parkinson and Dr. Ralph Holtom join as Directors. Nowlan becomes the principal shareholder.
Kate Nowlan says:
“CiC has continued to attract high profile accounts since it was formed in 1988, and is seen in the marketplace as a quality provider with the highest standards. Thanks to the loyalty and commitment of our staff and customers alike, we have repeatedly improved our market position over the last 18 years, and customer satisfaction is at an all time high.”
CiC’s new independent status will allow it to further improve its bespoke services for clients across the various niche areas it operates in, including specialist trauma support.
“The directors of both CiC and wpf recognise that there is an opportunity for the company to unleash the potential of our talented staff by moving ahead independently. The newly formed CiC board has a vision of providing psychological and practical support to employees in the workplace, and we believe our personal, ethical and professional approach will see the company blossom into an exciting new chapter.”
