British Businesses told to Adopt Punchier Marketing Headlines

Added: (Wed Aug 13 2008)

British Businesses need to improve the headlines they use in their marketing material
if they want prospects to take any notice according to award winning business author Rod Sloane.

"Too many marketing pieces have bland, woolly, wet headlines, that don't grab your attention" says Sloane.

Sloane also warns businesses, and particularly SME's, not to talk about themselves and their products
and materials and expect others to read.

"You are not writing your marketing to your school English teacher. Keep it simple and add some punch.
If in doubt stick a 'How to' at the front of your headline. So rather than 'Write a Marketing Plan that Wins New Clients'
try 'How to Write a Marketing Plan that Wins New Clients'; which just happens to be my most profitable headline!" says Sloane

"Spend more time working on your headline, it's the advert for your marketing piece" says Sloane.

Sloane is the brains behind the 2008 Olympic Marketing Challenge.

The 2008 Olympic Marketing Challenge allows businesses to improve their marketing materials with a review
from the award winning business author Rod Sloane. The Marketing Challenge ends on Sunday August 24th 2008,
the closing day of the Beijing Olympics.

Business can send an email with their marketing piece attached to rod@sloane95.freeserve.co.uk.

"All the information is available at my No Bull Business blog" says Sloane

Ends.
