Pressbox (Press Release) -
A Brackley based business has just completed 4 1-day presentation skills training programmes for Single Buoy Moorings (SBM) in Monaco.
The company, Inspirational Seminars Limited has been running these courses for SBM since 1998 and each time with great success.
David Taylor-Jones is the Training and Development Manager of SBM and this is what he says:
‘We have employed Inspirational Seminars to improve our staff’s presentation skills since 1998. The Company believes that communication is very important and requires that our senior multi-national team is proficient in making presentations to clients and also in-house. To this end Inspirational Seminars has helped more than 160 of our senior staff by greatly diminishing the stress factor that some people experience when having to make presentations. Through their teaching they have improved our people’s confidence and taught them how to overcome their nerves.
We recommend them to other companies seeking to raise the level of their staff’s abilities to communicate and make presentations. They make a difference’.
Sylvia Modu is a director of Inspirational Seminars and an international training consultant of some 20 years experience. She says ‘it is a feather in the cap for a small business such as ours to be selected to run courses for this giant of a company. They employ over 4,500 people worldwide and are Monaco’s largest employer. The people we train are from all areas of both the company and the world but they must make their presentations in English so it’s important for them to use an English speaking trainer. As you would imagine, we are delighted to be of service’.
Inspirational Seminars offers training in all areas of ‘soft skills’ including sales and management however, presentation skills is by far the most popular of their programmes. When asked why Mrs Modu said: ‘your being good at making business presentations is a very important skill because your clients make important decisions as a result of them. You’ll find also that these days when applying for a job, a presentation will often form part of the selection process. It almost goes without saying that if you are skilled in this area you can enhance your image tremendously. It is quite the fastest way to make a positive impression and build personal confidence at the same time’.
Here in the UK Inspirational Seminars’ clients includes HBOS and Shell International, whose training manager Mark Benson said: ‘I asked Sylvia Modu to convince me in 15 minutes why I should use Inspirational Seminars’ Presenting for Success workshop. At the end of 15 minutes I booked her’.
