Ardentia Raises �1 Million in Private Funding

Leading business intelligence specialist to invest in international growth and R&D for new solutions

Stafford, UK � 30 March, 2006 � Ardentia, a leading provider of healthcare informatics and performance management software, today announced it has raised �1 million in new funding from an undisclosed private investor.

Ardentia will use the new investment to further develop its international presence, using its offices in Germany as a base to seek European business partners for its innovative business solutions.

The latest of these solutions is NetSearch, an advanced enterprise search tool which helps public and commercial organisations make better use of their existing business data. NetSearch had its European launch at the giant CeBIT IT fair in Hannover, earlier in March.

The investment will also be used to boost research and development of other new business solutions.

In the U.K. Ardentia works with the Department of Health, NHS Connecting for Health, and many major NHS Trusts and Health Communities, delivering software and solutions which helps them to manage and improve performance as part of the new patient-centric NHS. The company is also responsible for the user interface for accessing and reporting on information in the NHS Care Records Service (CRS), which will hold a summary care record for every NHS patient in England.

Founded in 1992, Ardentia has experienced rapid growth over the last four years, with revenue increasing by over 99% per year between 2002 and 2004 according to the Microsoft-sponsored Sunday Times annual Tech Track 100. Sales in 2004 reached nearly �4.5M. In Autumn 2005, Ardentia was ranked as one of the top 15 technology companies in the Midlands and North of England in the Deloitte Technology Fast 50 Awards.
