An MOT For Land Rover Employees

Land Rover employees were invited to have an MOT courtesy of Slimming World this week. As part of the company’s continuing drive for a healthy and happy workforce, Slimming World was happy to provide a weigh-in, Body Mass Index check and advice on healthy eating and weight loss at the company’s Solihull plant.
Each year, Land Rover employees are encouraged and supported to acquire skills in a wide choice of non-work related courses and activities ranging from developing culinary ability to learning the art of bricklaying. Slimming World provide willing employees with the opportunity to learn all about healthy eating habits, in order to aid weight loss and increase well-being. The scheme, administered independently by Solihull College employees is a joint initiative between Land Rover and the Trade Unions.
Jean Clark, District Manager for Slimming World said: “We had a great day at Land Rover meeting with employees eager to enrol with one of our local Slimming World groups for support. Our Food Optimising plan is sensible healthy eating which enables people to eat unlimited quantities of lots of different foods and lose weight at the same time. There are plenty of foods served in Land Rover’s canteen that fit perfectly with our plan.”
It is estimated that over 30 million people in the UK are overweight. As the number one weight loss company in this country, Slimming World is now working with GP’s and health professionals to help tackle the nation’s obesity problem.
